To conform to RA 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act), Balamban amended its solid waste management ordinance requiring all commercial establishments in the municipality to provide two garbage bins within their areas.
Prior to the issuance and renewal of the business permits all establishments are required to attend a seminar on Solid Waste Management.

The Balamban Sports Development Council (BSDC) headed by Mayor Ace Stefan Binghay wants to strengthen the intrinsic value of sports and sustain youth development through the summer sports clinics and competitions for 2011.
The 5-day activity aims to provide greater opportunities for the youth to participate in sports and to have a clear understanding of the present sports orientation and development.
